Cross-country skiing
The region around Berg im Drautal offers an extensive network of cross-country trails.
You will also find a 5-kilometer high-altitude trail on the Emberger Alm.
130 kilometers of cross-country trails through the valley and the 200 km long four-country trail (Carinthia-East Tyrol-South Tyrol-Veneto) offer pure cross-country skiing fun.
There are four trails with a total length of 20 kilometers directly in Berg.
Winter canyoning

Requirements: Sure-footedness, sturdy shoes, possibly hiking clothing and rucksack
as well as an average level of fitness.
Ski & Board
You've come to the right place if you're not looking for a mega-large, noisy ski area, but still want to have fun skiing and snowboarding. Our small, family-run Emberger Alm ski area and the ski areas nearby provide you with plenty of fun and space for your fun on the slopes.
Ice skating
The largest natural ice rink in Europe is just twelve kilometers away from our guesthouse - Lake Weissensee
Look forward to a permanently frozen ice surface with a size of 6.5 square kilometers in the middle of nature. Enjoy the freedom and sheer endless joy of ice skating (over 11 kilometers long!) in one of Carinthia's most beautiful landscapes. Here, all ice skaters can enjoy the most wonderful kilometers of ice!
Ice skating and also curling is offered by our ice rink directly in the village - here the sporty shooters get their money's worth and afterwards you can look forward to a warming mulled wine in our house!
Ski tours
You can experience ski tours with certified guides. For the more experienced, we recommend tours in our immediate surroundings.
Snowshoeing, ice climbing and ski tours in the mountains of the Kreuzeck Group and the Gailtal Alps.

Winter & Kids
Ideal for all children and beginners is the snow-covered slope right next to our house; for beginners and advanced skiers the Emberger Alm family ski area. Here you will also find a ski school at 1,600 to 2,150 m above sea level.
