  • Maria Geburt parish church with "Michelele" chancel
    Village church, 13th century. Oratory: frescoes of great art-historical significance.
  • Filial church of St. Athanasius (St. Athanas)
    Former pilgrimage church of great age, place of worship for Coptic Christians, space for spiritual concerts.
  • Millennium statue
    The Berger sculptor Hans-Peter Profunser created a marble sculpture as a memorial in the new millennium. It points out that the development of technical progress bears no relation to the development of human interaction. The work is located in the town center, next to the Berger Bach (diagonally opposite our café).
  • Observatory and amateur astronomy
    Hobby astronomers will find everything they need at the Emberger Alm. Set-up areas for your own telescopes, no extraneous light. By prior arrangement (contribution towards costs).
  • Ox Gorge
    South of the Drau. Wild and romantic gorge with special geological features!
  • Geisloch gorge with lime kiln
    South of the Drau. Accessible gorge with a newly renovated lime kiln at the beginning.
  • Compton hut (1,700 m)
    South of the Drau. ÖAV refuge, open from mid-June to mid-September.
  • Reißkofel (2,364 m)
    South of the Drau. Difficult ascent to the summit cross. Only for experienced climbers!
  • Amlacher Alm (1,398 m)
    South of the Drau (not managed).
  • Emberger Alm (1,700 m)
    North of the Drau. Accessible by car via a toll-free, well-maintained access road, hiking area, flight Eldorado for paragliders and hang-gliders, vacation observatory, meeting point for amateur astronomers, in winter: Family ski area in winter. Two inns, a guesthouse, mountain huts.
    Hiking starting point to the entire Kreuzeckguppe: Einsee, Zweisee, Zweiseetörl, Ochsentörl, Feldner Hütte (2,186 m), Knoten (2,216 m), Hochtristen (2,535 m).
  • Oberberger Alm (1,700 m)
    North of the Drau. Accessible by car via toll-free gravel road, one inn (Hochtriestenhaus), hiking starting point to the entire Kreuzeckguppe: Einsee, Zweisee, Zwiseetörl, Ochsentörl, Feldner Hütte (2,186 m), Knoten (2,216 m), Hochtristen (2,535 m).
  • Emberger Alm - Oberberger Alm
    Easy hike between the two mountain pastures. Also ideal with children or inexperienced hikers. Hut hike between the Emberger Alm and Oberberger Alm.
